Choi's nails

These Models Own pastels really do have a good place in my collection. It feels nice to wear them once in awhile and It's hard to neglect them when the polishes I own from the Hyper gel collection are such good solid colours. Good on its on and good as a design base.

The base of this mani is Models Own's Hyper gel Lilac sheen. Some of you may not know but I do tweak my photo lighting to prettify things a little. My camera really likes to dull things down against this shade so I'd say this polish is looking a shade lighter after the editing.

Hopefully my new camera doesn't give me this problem anymore and I'm looking to show you more macro shots.

Glitter always adds such a kick to a plain manicure, it's like a party at the tip of your fingers. But it's the trouble of making the glitters look less clumped up on some parts of the nail that steers me away from doing this design more often. Sometimes over sponging can be a bit of a problem for me too. Despite that, my glitter tips attempt has given me a look I'd think was okay to show on the internet. I do think it looked better in person than in photos though.

Whenever fall comes around this is practically the colour my mind comes across most of the time. Something about these colours that just keep pulling me in again and again. This is Orly's Smolder. I'm blogging about this shade for the second time but with the help of the lightbox the colours appears more vivid here.

Orly's Smolder is a deep wine shimmer and the consistency of this polish couldn't be any better. Each layer applies thin and two coats is enough to let this polish show its full beauty. It's also nice when the shade makes my skin tone look a little brighter and even.

Bringing you some nail art today with some China Glaze and Orly.

For the base I used China Glaze's What are you A-freight of which is a chocolate purple brown? I keep seeing a deep purple side to it but I'm not sure if it's just me.

These days I like to cover my manicure with some sort of nail art but with this one I'm sure I'll be fine just wearing it as it is. It's got a good formula to it too, only needing two coats for it to appear like so.

When it comes to picking my next manicure shade, there's almost every colour of the rainbow in front of me, I'm racking my brains out and in the end I go with the nude. Some people think it must be easy when you're just choosing something like colours but I swear I spend more time thinking about which polish than actually painting with them.

My nudes are just so underused but they're good bases for when you want to add designs without having the base take away any attention from it. All polishes used here were from Orly because the colours were a great match for fall and if I don't take them out any sooner it'll soon be like they don't even exist in my stash.

The base is Orly's Glow and using Orly's flicker, flare and smolder I dabbed each shade on different parts of the image before scraping everything off and transferring them to the nails. These polishes all belong to the Orly fired up collection which came out for fall 2012.

The last picture shows my left hand and being a righty I found it pretty tricky positioning and take photos of my hand at the same time. I wanted to show you the design I had on my left since I added some dots.

Ahh this took me long enough to write up.The photos seemed to look much better on the camera screen than here but hope you still enjoy this post.
