Choi's nails

For this manicure you'll need:

• One coat of your preferred base coat (I used Essie's Protein base coat)
• Two coats of China Glaze's I'm not lion as the base. 
• 3 different shades of one colour. I couldn't think of any other I wanted to work with on top of this base apart from purple. It was also the easiest three I could get my hands on without have to rummage through everything. The polishes I chose from lightest to darkest were:
  CG's Light as air - Light grey lilac
  CG's Spontaneous - Purple creme
  CG's Urban night - Eggplant purple
• Chevron nail vinyls - There's so many nail vinyl sellers out there but I totally forgot where I got my ones from. Apply these vinyls on the nail and using a sponge, sponge all the polishes on the nails. Wait 10 seconds before peeling the vinyls.
• Seal with your preferred top coat (I used INM's Out the door top coat)

I actually like how this one came out. Could be better but I'm working on it.
What other ombre combinations would you like to see?

For this manicure:

• Apply one coat of your preferred base coat (I used Essie's protein base coat.)
• Apply two coats of a white base and a fast drying top coat. Wait about half an hour until everything's dry.
• Place the chevron nail vinyls on every nail with an even space between each.
• Using the following polishes, apply to a sponge and sponge onto the nails:
  Barry M Gelly HI shine Rose hip, dragon fruit and pomegranate.
• Remove the nail vinyls and seal with one coat of your preferred top coat. (I use INM's Out the door top coat.)
  

I think I may need to invest in some new nail vinyls. These current ones I own are okay but the chevrons are not deep enough. I'd definitely want some that are thinner in size too.

What do you think of this manicure?

You know, I've missed chevron nails very much but having to manually cut the tape with my zigzag scissors making sure they're just about the right size really does take a bit of time and effort. So I gave in. I bought them. NAIL VINYLS. From Shesellsseashells. I almost had trouble typing this out as I was saying it.


Using the relaxed chevron, Essie's Lilacism and China Glaze's All aboard I did the gradient sponge effect but since this was my first encounter with these nail vinyls I totally ignored the part where people mentioned that you should wait until it's FULLY dry. A part of the polish on the pinkie almost got dragged off.

With one of the nail art pens I received from my cousin I lined with chevron with some gold glitter but I prefer it without. In fact I did feel like these colours weren't really a great match so I'm not particularly feeling great about the chevrons but I do like the base.
