Models Own's Blue Glint nail stamping

I love my manicure this time. The whole colour stamping on white just looks neat and since the design is quite detailed the whole thing just stands out. This is definitely something I'd like to do more of.

The base is Models Own's White light. A basic white, two coats. The design is the large image from Bundle Monster's blogger collaboration plate with Nailstamp4fun BM-XL 206 and the polish used is Models Own.

I thought it'd be nice to add a little something that contrasts against the stamped design so I added some mini gemstones in the middle of each flower on the index and ring finger nail.

After using these polishes a few times I still like the Hypergel collection polishes from Bundle Monster. They have good enough coverage and serve well as a stamping polish because of it's thick consistency. Happy with the results overall.

China Glaze Conduct yourself

It's a 'I have no time but I still don't want to leave my nails bare' day. I have here China Glaze's Conduct yourself which is a deep burgundy with subtle purple shimmers. So subtle I can hardly see them on the nails.

If I can't do a design then I'd like some glitter. I packed on Nails Inc's Novello Street on my ring finger nail. It did take a few layers but it was enough. Seal everything with a top coat and that's about everything to this manicure.

What are your go to colours when you need manicure but not enough time?

Milkymimi gradient nails - Nailbee inspired

Today's manicure is inspired by a nail art tutorial I saw from the talented Nailbee! She makes her freehand drawings look so manga/cartoon like and her tutorials are easy to follow. They just don't look the same when you do it yourself doesn't it.

For this manicure:

Apply one coat of your preferred base coat (I used Essie's Protein base coat)

Paint two coats of a white polish as your base. Here I used Model Own's White light.

Using Barry M's Dragon (Pink), Prickly pear (Lilac) and Indigo (Purple blue), sponge all three colours onto each nail for the gradient look.
I'll paste the link to the nail art tutorial HERE so you can see how the Milkymimi bunny was done. I done this on my Bundle Monster Lotus mat so I drew her a little too big and tall (a bit chicken like too) but if you had a very small nail art brush it'll definitely help especially with the detail.

With white polish, place some random dots on the nails and a star in what looks like a diamond shape.
Layer with Color Club's Million dollar listing shimmer top coat.
Apply a top coat to seal everything. (I used OPI's fast forward top coat)

This is the first nail art tutorial I've followed through and actually managed to draw something so specific. I have to admit it was hard but I can't believe I did it. I'd like to do more of this when I have more time.

OPI Ski teal we drop and CG's Holo at ya girl

This post is about a shade I'm sure I've posted about before because it's such a good basic classic to go back to from time to time. This was the manicure I had on for my holiday to Hong Kong and it actually held up well for 10 days. There was obviously some tip wear and a small chip here and there but it did good enough.

The base used for this manicure was OPI's Ski teal we dropped. This shade is easily done with two coats. The decent formula and OPI's signature large brush makes it easier to apply. I could leave it as it but I rarely would especially when It's going to be on for 10 days.

For this manicure:

Apply one coat of your preferred base coat (I used Essie's Protein base coat)

Paint two coats of OPI's Ski teal we drop on all nails.

Use the Bundle Monster BM-S104: Cosmic blossoms image plate from their Shangri La collection and Barry M's gold foil to stamp the flower looking part onto the middle finger nail.

Layer China Glaze's Holo at ya girl over the ring finger nail. HAYG is as the name suggests a bit of holo glitter mixed with some gold and green in a clear base. For the middle finger design some 'petals' were actually filled in with the glitter but it's not so apparent.
Apply a top coat to seal everything. (I used OPI's fast forward top coat)

Realised anything different between the first two and last photo? It's a little hard not to right? The first two were taken in daylight whilst the third was with a light box. The colours look best in daylight especially my skin tone. I wish I could keep taking advantage of natural light like that but my nail routine is 90% carried out at night. Nevertheless I will still look for ways to keep improving my photography and photos for you.
