Color Club's Mod in Manhattan with gradient and glitter chevrons

Me and my cousin rarely cross each others paths these days because of work, relationships and our busy lifestyles but when we finally got together again she packed a bag full of goodies for me which to my surprise included nail polish. She got an even bigger surprise when she was literally going through every single one of my nail polishes.

She gave me a few mini China Glazes and Color club which includes the one below. CC's Mod in Manhattan. A sort of faint peachy milky shade which needed about 3 coats before I could move onto something else.

You know, I've missed chevron nails very much but having to manually cut the tape with my zigzag scissors making sure they're just about the right size really does take a bit of time and effort. So I gave in. I bought them. NAIL VINYLS. From Shesellsseashells. I almost had trouble typing this out as I was saying it.

Using the relaxed chevron, Essie's Lilacism and China Glaze's All aboard I did the gradient sponge effect but since this was my first encounter with these nail vinyls I totally ignored the part where people mentioned that you should wait until it's FULLY dry. A part of the polish on the pinkie almost got dragged off.

With one of the nail art pens I received from my cousin I lined with chevron with some gold glitter but I prefer it without. In fact I did feel like these colours weren't really a great match so I'm not particularly feeling great about the chevrons but I do like the base.

'I don't give a splatter' nails with China Glaze's Well Trained

I'm having mixed opinions about this one. They're not really doing it for me but then again from afar they don't look too bad. It just doesn't seem to look too pleasant when it's up close and on top of that I wanted to show China Glaze's fairy dust which is full of fine holo glitters. It's an old but gold polish.

The base is China Glaze's Well trained which is a dark teal creme. My camera really altered the shade to show up a shade closer to blue that I almost got confused as to what this one actually was now that I'm really slacking on my polish notes.

With a straw and lots of energy I gave these nails the splatter effect which worked nicely on some parts, very blotchy on others so in an attempt to save it I splatter CG's Well trained on top again only to realise nope, it's not going to work the way I want it.

CG's Fairy dust is a great glitter top coat and though it feels like it wasn't really used wisely here I'm feeling it'll do well for some galaxy nails. Next manicure idea?

China Glaze's Choo-Choo Choose you

I can't believe I actually had doubts about this polish before even wearing it but I love its' beautiful outcome. You will find many different posts out there about this shade but not all the pictures will be showing the same colour. Why? Because Choo Choo Choose you is a duochrome with shimmer shifting goodness.

CG's CCCY is a purple grey with gold shimmers which darkens as it is set on the nail but then people are saying there's a bit of green to it too which my camera failed to pick up.

I couldn't be more happier with the clean up and the formula was good to work with. Despite those I still wanted to add more and nothing felt easier than nail stamping. I do like to bring out my plates more than often even though I just have the two sets.

The design is from Bundle Monster's BM 203 stamped with just a plain black which darkened the look even more but it doesn't stop me from liking how neat it still looks.
