Models Own's Heart Red

For today's post I'm actually quite proud of how the photos came out because the colour looks amazing and it's even making my skin look quite smooth against it.

Here I have Models Own's Heart Red which is a sort of orangey red. Very bright. It's one of the skin tone washing colours where it could make your hands look pale white. I think I've gotten less bothered about that as I wear more of these type of shades.

As with all the other polishes from the diamond luxe collection, the gold diamond dust is not really showing up on my nails but they definitely don't fail to make an appearance from the bottle.

I've got about two coats on here and that's about enough to get things looking opaque. Not only the application but the clean up was also easy peasy but I don't remember if any top coat was applied after because the surface is looking a little bumpy. It might have been one of those moments where I snap a picture before a design or top coat just in case anything messes up. I don't think a design happened in the end though.

China Glaze Spontaneous - Stripes and gradient

It really just feels like yesterday when I last did gradients but only after looking back at my Instagram did I realise it's been a short while. I think a gradient design needs to make an appearance again.

For this manicure you'll need:

One coat of your preferred base coat (I used Ciate mini's Underwear)
Apply two coats of a plain white. Here I used Barry M's Matt white.
With a sponge, China Glaze's Spontaneous and Essie's Turquoise & Caicos, sponge the colours onto the tips.
Using a striper brush, draw vertical lines on the left with some vertical on the bottom half of the nail. I added some lines with Essie's T&C because the turquoise gradient is hardly noticeable as I over sponged.
Seal with one coat of your preferred top coat. (I use Misa's UV Bounceback)

Misa's Double dutch & China Glaze's Techno

China Glaze

I've kept my nails unpolished during Easter whilst waiting for my nail to form the right shape but thank gosh I had some manicures done previously and the next one just about fits Easter with its sweet colour.

Here is a single chevron negative space mani with Misa's Double dutch which is a lavender pink. I layered it with China Glaze's Techno which is a mix of different sized holographic silver glitters.

Only after looking at the photos closely now I just realised that there were some air bubbles more visible on my middle nail. It did feel good to wear some of my old polishes though. I still remember Techno being one of the holographic glitters I liked to pick out more often than the others.
