NOTD: Zoya’s Farah and Maisie

Thursday, June 14, 2012

Like every time I receive my nail mail I always want to wear every polish immediately and considering it was my first Zoyas I was eager. I went with something simple to start off with since most of my other unswatched polishes are bright, shimmery or bold.

Farah. Indoors, natural light

Here’s Zoyas Farah. On the official Zoya website Farah is described as an opaque light khaki-beige with subtle sandy, greenish undertones and a cream finish but to me it’s a cool toned nude beige with a hint of grey.

It reminds me of Essie’s Playa del platinum a little which I quite liked. I feel the same about this shade except it doesn’t quite suit me. It makes my hand look somewhat dead. I guess it might be due to my skin tone. I think I have a warm skin tone but to be honest I’m not quite sure. I have real trouble trying to determine which one I am.

I couldn’t bear to wear it alone so I decided to use Zoyas Maisie on top to spice it up. Trying to try out two polishes in one go. I might as well since they’re both new.

Maisie has flakies in a sheer blue base that shifts from blue to green. Very gorgeous in the bottle but doesn’t match what I paired it with in my opinion.

Formula was good on both. I applied two coats of Farah which was streak free and two coats of Maisie.

What do you think of my manicure? What polish would you pair Maisie with?

    1. How comes you gave it away? :( They're okay shades to keep in your stash. I think I'll be keeping mine Lol.
