Choi's nails: Creme

China Glaze Glittering garland checkered mani

This next manicure was one of those I was eager to share. It feels christmas-sy to me and I bet that's because the polishes mainly came from the Autumn/Winter collections. Just the base itself I find looks gorgeous and I'm not usually a green lover. It also makes my skin colour look just the way I like it.

For this manicure:

Apply one coat of your preferred base coat (I used Essie's protein base coat.)
Apply two coats of China Glaze's glittering garland as the base. This is a polish full of green and gold flecks in a dark green base.
Using striping tape apply two vertically and three horizantally. You may want to adjust this step depending on how big you want the squares.
With China glaze's Purr-fect plum and Swing baby - shimmery gold, paint in the squares and remove the striping tape. Make sure you speed up a little here, you don't want to remove the striping tape when the polish is too dry.
Seal with one coat of your preferred top coat. (I used INM's Out the door top coat.)

I'm so over this so called summer we were having in the UK. Can't wait for winter to come around so I'll be sporting more of looks like these.

Color Club Nail-Robi & Something new

Second post in one day to make up for my lack of posting. I'm being a bit too hard working today. Ha!

The polishes used for this post all come from Color Club that I purchased a while while back. The base is CC's Nail-Robi which is a deep purple blue. Very pigmented and better yet it's a one coater. It has a normal consistency making application that easy.

I do love this base but it sometimes feel like a crime to leave bases like that empty. So I picked up CC's Something new which I haven't had the chance to try yet. I was looking forward to how this light glitter on dark base would look. These glitter actually look better in the bottle though. Just look at it, it's like snow in a bottle but overall everything together looks okay.

What do you think of these two polishes? Do you know of any other glitter polishes like so?

OPI Conquistadorable color and freehand flowers

I'd always thought that I had posted something about this polish seeing that I don't own as many OPI's as I would've liked but it seems that it hasn't made an appearance yet. I have too many colours like it that it's hard to even recall whether I've posted anything about it.

Now that Valentines and Chinese New Year is right around the corner, this seems like a great shade suited for this time of the year.

This is OPI's Conquistadorable Color. Phew. Long name isn't it but the shade is a very lovely pinkish red. If you're wondering what's going on inside the bottle I suggest you throw away the idea of even asking me about it because I simply don't know. It might have been like that when I received it but as long as the colour comes out right, which as you can see came out great, then I'm fine with it looking like so.

I wanted to leave this manicure plain but then I didn't want to. This is the struggle that I go through almost every time I'm wearing a creme and more often it's the idea of adding an awesome design that wins. Ha! Well it isn't awesome every time but I attempt to make it be so out came the nail art pens.

The pen wasn't working with me very well with all the polish oozing out of the pen tip making it harder to get a neat thin line. Even after tugging the pen lid too tight that I pulled out the whole brush out of the tube causing a polish explosion but I got there in the end and this is how it all turned out.

Essie's Pinking about you on Pink happy

Both these polishes here today are from the Breast Cancer awareness 2014 collection by Essie. Though October is over and won't be coming round for a while the awareness still lives on and we can still donate and support whenever! :)

Wear pink any day any week!

All the pinks from the collection are pretty standard but they look gorgeous and I haven't even started on the glitter yet. It has officially become one of my favourites and totally reminds me of snowflakes and topping.

Frosty blue gradient and glitter tips with Models Own

When you're constantly polishing your nails ever so often it's really easy to forget when was the last time that you did a design like gradients. It feels like it wasn't so long ago when I was posting about my last gradient manicure but then I look through my Instagram and realise it really has been that long.

This manicure is befitting to the season and weather. A little frosty a little fun.

From light to dark the polishes used all from Models Own are as follows:

Blueberry muffin

Cornflower gleam

Blue glint

For the glitter I used Freak out! from their Mirrorball collection which is full of glitter polishes. As I was running my hand through all the polishes in the Models own drawer I touched the freak out polish and realised it was still in the packaging!

I'm as impressed with this glitter as I was with the others from the collection. You might recall some posts that featured those polishes. Here, check it out if you haven't yet.

If you look closely, like really closely you'll see that there's some flower stamping added to the top half of the manicure. It almost looks like small snowflakes right?

Candy cane nails with Color Club

Take a look at my first Christmas nails for this year. Candy cane nails. Easy enough right? You just really need two polishes or one if you prefer it that way, some nail tape and you're pretty much good to go.

Polishes used here is all from Color Club:

Million dollar listing - Shimmery gold top coat
Wild cactus - Green creme

Mamba - Red creme

Got to say that I love my Million dollar listing polish. It adds such a delicate shimmery touch to things. I have one coat here but the formula is a little thick and it's not only this one. Another polish from the same collection also has the same consistency so I can't do nothing but assume that that is how the formulas just are.

China Glaze what are you A-Freight of asymmetric nails

Bringing you some nail art today with some China Glaze and Orly.

For the base I used China Glaze's What are you A-freight of which is a chocolate purple brown? I keep seeing a deep purple side to it but I'm not sure if it's just me.

These days I like to cover my manicure with some sort of nail art but with this one I'm sure I'll be fine just wearing it as it is. It's got a good formula to it too, only needing two coats for it to appear like so.

Tape manis are pushed to the back of my head most times when I start to think about the waiting time before any manicure is ready for some sellotape but this time I stuck around just to do it.

Here's some asymmetric nails. I did mess up on some parts when removing the tape so the lines aren't crisp clean but I'll get the hang of it for next time.

The beige nude is Orly's Glow whilst the shimmery yellow gold is Orly's Flare.

Having the design on the accent nail kept this manicure looking simple and it looks good for work without being too boring. But I wanted to see how it looked with more so I went over the index finger too.

Love it. Think this has to be the best look out of the three. Yes, three. Because I went ahead and did the rest of the nails. Here's the final look.

China Glaze's One track mind

Can we just take a moment to enjoy this gorgeous blue by China Glaze. These sort of deep navy blue colours just never get old in my books and I hate to tell you that I removed the whole thing before even thinking of using it as a base for nail art. I can imagine doing many designs for this.

China Glaze's One track mind could pretty much be fulfilling on the first coat but here two coats were painted on just out of habit. This one belongs to the All aboard 2014 collection and I'd say this shade would be one of the favourites from the bunch.

Love how deep and rich in colour it is!

Hearts and crosses for my readers and followers xoxo

I'm looking back at these post photos and I miss having polished nails already. They've only been bare for like a day or so but they just feel weird and on top of that stained nails are just not a good sight. *Hangs head in shame*

For today I have Nails Inc's Baker street which is vibrant cobalt blue. I gave it a bit of sparkle with Nails Inc's Electric lane, it's basically a bottle full of holo goodness which I feel would be good for some galaxy nails.

As good as it already was I wanted to play around with some nail art brushes and see how steady my hand is when drawing simple things like hearts. Sometimes they end up bent with one side a little bigger than the other it seems like a good job was done here.

Maybelline Color Show White Splatter over Barry M Rose Hip

Before I even combined the two I knew this would come out perfect. Barry M's Rose hip base is already very girly but Maybelline's White splatter gives it a little more fun without being too much.

The photo choosing stage was a pain since I took so many and since they looked so similar it was just too hard to tell which one is better. And to think that I edit more than a few batches of photos in one go you can imagine how stressful it is on the eyes and mind flippin back and forth through every photo album. #NAILBLOGGERPROBLEMS LOL

Revlon's Facets of Fuchsia

Here's a throwback polish for you all. I still remember when everyone was raving about this on some blogs especially this old blogging platform I used to be on.

This, will stay as an all time favourite. It's also the only Revlon in my collection and being one that I purchased for full price, only because of a free voucher I had. If you live in the UK you'll know that Revlon's not exactly cheap and only falls like a few pounds shorter than say Essies.

This is Revlon's Facets of Fuchsia if you already didn't know and it will never look boring to me with one coat just layered over two coats of plain black. In fact it only lets the purple glitters stand out better.
