Choi's nails

For this manicure:

• Apply one coat of your preferred base coat (I used Essie's protein base coat.)
• Apply two coats of Essie's Absolitely Shore as the base.
• With some nail vinyls apply it vertically on the index and pinkie finger nail.
• Using Essie's Going incognito - an emerald green apply over the index and pinkie finger nail, wait a few seconds before peeling the nail vinyls to avoid the polish 'spilling'.
• Layer China Glaze's Tinsel Town on the middle and ring finger nail.
• Seal with one coat of a matte top coat. (I used China Glaze's Matte Magic.)

You can actually skip having to apply Essie's Absolutely shore on the middle and ring finger nail since CG's Tinsel Town is quite opaque. It's hard to tell there was even a base underneath.


Hmm, the index and pinkie really makes me think of a watermelon but I'm still 50/50 with the overall look.

For this manicure:

• Apply one coat of your preferred base coat (I used Essie's protein base coat.)
• Apply two coats of a basic white. Here I used Models Own's White light.
• Add a layer of a fast drying top coat and wait until it becomes fully dry. If you don't want to apply a top coat you could just leave it to dry as it is but make sure it definitely is FULLY dry before approaching the next step otherwise you'll experience some polish lifting when removing your nail guides.
•  Line the nails with either nail vinyls or striping tape, whichever you feel works best for you. One you're ready paint the nails in turn with the following polishes:
  Color Club Blushing rose - Baby pink
  Color Club Blue-ming - Turquoise
• With Nails Inc's Willow place - gold glitter and a dotting tool apply 5 dots in the bottom right corner of the ring finger nail. With a toothpick pull the dot into the middle to give it a flower petal look.
• After stamping seal with one coat of your preferred top coat. (I use INM's Out the door top coat.)

For this manicure you'll need:

• One coat of your preferred base coat (I used Ciate mini's Underwear)
• Apply two coats of a plain white. Here I used Barry M's Matt white.
• With a sponge, China Glaze's Spontaneous and Essie's Turquoise & Caicos, sponge the colours onto the tips.
• Using a striper brush, draw vertical lines on the left with some vertical on the bottom half of the nail. I added some lines with Essie's T&C because the turquoise gradient is hardly noticeable as I over sponged.
• Seal with one coat of your preferred top coat. (I use Misa's UV Bounceback)

For this manicure you'll need:

• One coat of your preferred base coat (I used Ciate mini's Underwear)
• Two coats of a basic white - Here I used Barry M's Matt white.
• Misa's I will Survive - a black and Essie's I pink I can - baby pink for the stripes. Paint these on a plastic wrap, wait until it's fully dry before peeling and cutting into thin strips. Place carefully on the nail.
• Alternatively you could use nail vinyls which have been trending recently to create the stripes.
• With the black, pink, a yellow - China Glaze's Lemon fizz and a dotting tool, dot the colours randomly on the nail until you're happy with it.
• Seal with one coat of your preferred top coat. (I use Misa's UV Bounceback)

As much as I love my square nails I really wanted to see what it was like to have almonds so I went for it. This time instead of just filing my left hand I filed everything! Like last time it went wrong and it just didn't look right on me so I think I can stop dreaming about those almonds now. My nails are literally nubs right now but they're I've shaped them into sq-ovals. It'll stay like that until my nails get a bit more length. Thank gosh I have some posts lined up.

The base is Color club's Blue ming and the green is Color Club's Wild cactus with white stripes in the middle.

Please accept some simple freehand nail art from me for the time being. I've shut my brain down from all the hard thinking.

The base is China Glaze's Urban night, a vampy eggplant purple and the stripes were done freehand with China Glaze's Aquadelic and Barry M's Matt white. Look closely and you'll see all little mistakes but I tried ^^

I know it's not even Monday yet but that'll be when my 100th blog post goes live and I didn't want it to be as blue as this manicure so this one has been pushed forward. 

This manicure was planned way before my holiday even started and coincidentally fit how I felt yesterday when I found out I'll be starting work Monday again after a good two weeks holiday off work.

This is the first time I've painted my nails in a VERY LONG while. Bunnysitting has taken up a lot of my time and now I've been forced to change the setting where my nails are done, it actually feels quite uncomfortable. I felt a little like a lost case whilst painting and I seemed to have 'forgotten' how my nail pose used to be.

What I used (Index to pinkie):

• Index: Color club's Endless summer as base with Zoya's Maisie on top.
• Middle: Zoya's Skylar as base, CC's ES for the cloud with Zoya's Maisie on top also
  Orly's Flare for the dots.
• Ring: CC's ES as base and Orly's Flare on top painted with the help of striping tape.
• Pinkie: Zoya's Skylar on its own.

Zoya's Skylar on its own HERE but I really hate the pictures are there because that was way before I made a light box and made use of any photo editing software. Back then I used to think it was okay as well. Yuck. LOL

To be honest I don't hate this manicure but I don't particularly like it either. It looked a little different than I imagined and added a bit more than I planned. I just wish those gold dots on the middle finger weren't added because you can hardly tell that it's actually a cloud design with the dots above.

What I used on my nails:

• Two coats of China Glaze's Something sweet as base on the index finger
  The criss cross lines are done using Barry M's white nail art pen
• Two coats of China Glaze's Refresh mint on the middle
  One coats of China Glaze's Snowglobe layered on top.
• Three coats of Essie's We can do it pink on the ring finger.
  Color club's Flamingo for the roses, CG's Refresh mint for the leaves and BM pen for the dots.
• Two coats of CG's Something sweet for the pinkie.Essie's Blanc for the stripes painted with a freehand using a striping nail art brush and BM pen to patch things up.

This was actually my first attempt at freehand stripes on my own nails and it was actually very easy to do. Goes to show that you don't know what you can do until you try to do it.

Before going ahead with the design I did a few samples first to see how things would look. They seemed to look better there than on my nails even though it's literally a copy of the samples. 



This is how things looked before everything else was added and it doesn't look bad on its own. Wouldn't mind wearing it out like that too.
