I find I'm less resistant to these bright pinks as much as I used to be because Kiss chase by Ciate was a pink I quite liked. It may be streaky at first and still a little on the second coat but it still looks good, even without top coat as you're seeing it here. I did have to keep going over with the brush to make things look less patchy though.
I left this manicure without a top coat for a reason and that is for what you're going to see below. Randomly placed silver sun rays. The rays are place on the bottom half on the index, top half for the middle, right half for the pinkie and the full nail for the ring finger.
Almost forgot to mention but the shimmery silver is Ciate's Fit for a queen and the rays were done with sellotape that I spent time cutting nicely and making sure they were sized right.
This shade is definitely great for summer which I'll miss but I'm also looking forward to bringing all the winter and fall shades back out. I know I wear them regardless of the season but I'm excited to see what everyone else will come up with for the jolly season!

Hi guys, apologies as I'm really too tired to write out these nails essays. Please enjoy a nail post with pictures and very little words.
Thanks

Here's the first ever Maybelline polish I've ever owned. I tend to neglect a lot of polishes that are local to me but I'm not quite sure if this polish is still available in your local drugstores.
This is Red excess a mix of crushed smoky black, yellowy gold, reddish purple glitter in a tinted dark base which you can see from the bottle. It dries to a textured finish which reminds me very much of the Barry M textured collection.
The polish is fast drying but you may still need to patch up some parts after painting because it doesn't apply well on the sides of the nails. In the pictures are two coats of red excess with no top coat but I wish I captured my nails with at least one coat to see how it looked. I believe the glitters would have shined WAY better. It'll lose the whole textured finish but you might get to see the different shades of glitter better than when it was without. Unfortunately the manicure chipped the next day in the shower due to its matte finish and having no top coat but out of curiosity I patched things up added a layer of top coat. The shine and glitter looked amazing until the top coat slowly sank into it. Hmm, top coat eater here?

During the Christmas sale last year I picked up this Ciate advent calender which I've finally got around to opening every single flap, only because I couldn't stop my hands from opening up every single one haha.
This is Ciate's Boudoir which is described as a sassy flirtatious red on their website. Quite right! The first coat is sheer and shows some VNL but the second coat covers everything and darkens the shade to look exactly like that in the bottle.
For the first time trying this brand the small brush surprisingly picks up a good amount and each stroke covers a good portion of the nail whilst painting. This one seems like one of the polishes that definitely needs a top coat because without it it looks uneven/rough. Clean-up was easy and it didn't leave any staining behind despite being a bold red. It does make my hand look white-ish/grey though.
Boudoir looked good on its own but I wanted to try out some of those double dotted flowers pulling so I ended up pulling Ciate's Hopscotch into the picture plus a basic white. Erm, the colour selection here just seems wrong now. Some colour clash with the bright orang and the bright red but I guess now we know what not to do next time.
Have you tried any Ciate polishes yet? What's your reccommendations?

It's been a very long time since I've worn or added any OPI's to my collection. This would be one of the newer ones I've picked up but they're really not that new. Here's Every month is Oktoberfest.
My pictures might be a little brighter than before. I was playing around with the editing and the photos seemed to show the colour best at this level of brightness. It also makes me hands look almost flawless *cheeky face*. Without the edit the shade looked a little dark to actually figure out it was a shimmery purple red duo chrome. The same case in person that it appears to be quite dark unless you're looking at it under some light, that's when you see the shimmery goodness.
The first coat was sheer so I'd say it needs at least 2 coats. Smooth application and overall it held up good for 2-3 days with some minor tip wear before removing everything.
This colour really reminds me of Christmas. Ahh thinking of it, I just can't wait.
What do you think of the colour? Does it remind you of anything?

I hope you're not sick of all the Models Own posts I've been constantly bombarding everyone with the past few posts but here's the last of the bunch.. for now. I made a decision to feature most of the brights in the Hypergel collection for this manicure.
Using the Bundle Monsters 208 plate and the following polishes I stamped on this 'broken mirror' like image.
The red is red lustre, fuchsia - cerise shine, baby pink - pink veneer, blue - blue glint and turquoise gloss which didn't quite make it onto the nail all stamped on a white base, white light. My lining is clearly off since I couldn't fit everything in.
Most of these polishes have a normal going on thick consistency which were okay for stamping. Cerise shine didn't transfer as I'd expected. Look carefully and it clearly looks streaky, I'm not sure how that came out but overall it's still good.
What do you think of this manicure? Any nail design suggestions anyone?

Back to some mix and match nails with Models Own. I've covered my nails full of nail art that if I didn't mention people won't know that the base is MO's blue glint.
Using MO's Pukka purple, I stamped on the swirly design from BM 19. Thinking back that most probably was the first time I've used a full image from the first batch of BM stamping plates they introduced. It went on pretty well except maybe patches missing here and there.
The middle and ring finger nail was made into a gradient by sponging on pink veneer and white light which looked sort of weird so after dabbing multiple times most of the base colour had almost been covered. I needed to add something else so that it didn't look as plain after the gradient. On the ring finger nail I added MO's dancing queen.
Hmm, I'm not quite sure I like this combination better than the ones I'd done before but it's not too bad I guess.
What do you think?

Before you carry on to look at the pictures please be warned. The lighting isn't so great! Whenever I posed with the neon polish it just seemed to affect the whole lighting that it made me hands look extra tanned.
This design came about as I was practising my stripes on a nail sample. Now that I look at it, it's basically just made up of a square and cross. It looked easy and good enough so I tried it with the Models own polishes. The base is Pink Veneer striped on with white light and Luis lemon.
Even though it didn't look the neatest I'm pretty happy with the outcome.

I quite like my lilacs and purples but I thought lilac sheen would look good with some nail art so I vamped it up with some striping tape and glitter.
The middle and ring finger nail was topped with blue glint making two different patterns with the striping tape.
On the index and pinky is MO's dancing queen which is a mix of blue, green and gold hex glitters, small gold ones, medium square glitters and blue glitters cut into difference sizes all in a clear base. You might need to push the glitters around with the brush to make sure there's no uneven gaps here and there.
I think these turned out gorgeous and fun, reminds me of the sea too. How about you?
