Choi's nails

I didn't want to keep this one plain and the polish name just kept making me think of stars, stars and stars so that's what my ring finger nail design ended up with after two attempts.






The manicure looks a little 'dusty' and not as smooth because my INM Out the door top coat was thickening up and giving me a hard time. It did serve me well long enough but I think it's time for a polish haul :D

Think I'll keep this short and end it here because my body's telling me to HIT THE SHEETS. <3

This collection carries some large glitter top coats like this one. Alexa Heart and it's pretty much the one best matched to the base in my opinion but you will need to manually place each one. To save time, I placed it only on the ring finger nail in a flower shape and let the rest be.



Still 50/50 with this one and even though the glitter polish is little bit of a hassle for me it's still very pretty in bottle. Meh.

What do you think of this polish? Do you own any textured polishes? What's your opinion on them?

For this manicure:

• Apply one coat of your preferred base coat (I used Essie's protein base coat.)
• Apply two coats of Essie's Hubby for dessert.
• With Nails Inc's Floral street, sponge the top half of the nails for that lilac-white gradient.
• With a straw, dip one end into the polish and give one rapid blow from the other end. Watch the polish splatter your nails until you're happy with the whole look.
  The polishes used for the splatter are Color Club's Nail Robi - deep purple and Nails Inc's Floral street - white.
• After stamping seal with one coat of your preferred top coat. (I use INM's Out the door top coat.)

What other splatter colour combinations would you like to see?

For this manicure:

• Apply one coat of your preferred base coat (I used Essie's protein base coat.)
• Apply two coats of a basic white. Here I used Models Own's White light.
• Add a layer of a fast drying top coat and wait until it becomes fully dry. If you don't want to apply a top coat you could just leave it to dry as it is but make sure it definitely is FULLY dry before approaching the next step otherwise you'll experience some polish lifting when removing your nail guides.
•  Line the nails with either nail vinyls or striping tape, whichever you feel works best for you. One you're ready paint the nails in turn with the following polishes:
  Color Club Blushing rose - Baby pink
  Color Club Blue-ming - Turquoise
• With Nails Inc's Willow place - gold glitter and a dotting tool apply 5 dots in the bottom right corner of the ring finger nail. With a toothpick pull the dot into the middle to give it a flower petal look.
• After stamping seal with one coat of your preferred top coat. (I use INM's Out the door top coat.)

Save me the stress from thinking of the next colour combination. What would you like to see next?

For this manicure:

• Apply one coat of your preferred base coat (I used Essie's protein base coat.)
• Apply two coats of Misa's So HOT in sunglasses - Bright fiery hot red.
• With Nails Inc's Willow place - Gold shimmer glitter apply on the ring finger nail.
• Using the Moyou Festive collection plate no. 22 and the Konad white polish, stamp the design on the nails.
• After stamping seal with one coat of your preferred top coat. (I use INM's Out the door top coat.)
  The top coat started 'melting' the design so quite a bit of smudging here and there. I guess the trick with this top coat is just working fast.
  

I only decided to layer some glitter and stamping over the base because this red was extremely bright. I didn't feel like leaving it plain either but after putting everything on top it looks quite festive. This manicure feels a little out of place right now looking quite Christmas-y when it's getting quite summery here in London. But you know when Christmas comes round it'll be a design to consider :)

For this manicure:

• Apply one coat of your preferred base coat (I used Essie's protein base coat.)
• Apply any black base. Here I used Misa's I will survive.
• The flower image is from the Moyou's Mother nature collection plate no.2 with the following MO Chrome nail polishes:
  MO Chrome Olive
  MO Chrome Green
  MO Chrome Rose
  MO Chrome Blue
  MO Chrome Cerise
  MO Chrome Mauve
  MO Chrome Pink
  MO Chrome Indigo
• After stamping seal with one coat of your preferred top coat. (I use INM's Out the door top coat.)

Doesn't the shiny bottles just look awesome side by side like that?!

My top coat smudged things a little but nevertheless still happy with the end results. Those chromes are looking good standing out on such a dark base. Happy.

What do you think of this manicure?

For this manicure:

• Apply one coat of your preferred base coat (I used Essie's protein base coat.)
• Apply two coats of Nails Inc's Upper Cheyne row - a muted pink
• Drip the following polishes in water in the order you like:
  Nails Inc's Pont street mews - a cerise pink
  Nails Inc's Bruton street - a dusty pink nude
  Nails Inc's Upper cheyne row
• Wait until the polish dries on the surface on the water, carefull pick it up with tweezers and place on the middle finger nail. Using nail clippers or scissors cut off the excess. Do the same for the ring finger nail.
• Using Novello Street - a silver glitter, apply over the index and pinkie finger nail.
• Seal with a matte top coat and leave to dry. The one I used was China Glaze's matte magic.

Clearly messed up at the tips of my nails but my watermarbles are quite a hit and miss sometimes.

What other watermarble designs would you like to see?

For this manicure:

• Apply one coat of your preferred base coat (I used Essie's protein base coat.)
• Apply two coats of Nails Inc's Old bond street. Three for full opacity if you don't plan to start doodling a design over the top.
• With a thin striping brush and a white draw horiontal and vertical lines on the middle and ring finger nails. Next, draw diagonal lines from right to left and wait for it to dry.
  If a brush is too tricky for you to draw the lines with, alternatively you can use those nail art pens. Barry M does some which are quite easy to use.
• Start colouring in the triangles on the middle and ring finger nail with the following polishes:
  Nails Inc's Upper cheyne row - A muted pink
  Nails Inc's Showfield street - A periqinkle blue
  Nails Inc's Kensington palace gardens - Peachy coral
• After colouring in go over the lines again with the white.
• With Nails Inc's Novello Street - Silver glitter, apply over the index and pinkie finger nail
• Seal with one coat of your preferred top coat. (I use INM's Out the door top coat.)

Well, the design didn't come out as good as the others I've seen floating around on Instagram because there's more of the white than the colours.

No worries. Next time will be a better try.

• Using the Konad white polish and the Moyou's Festive plate no. 22. The designs on this plate are mainly for Easter but it's quite good for a normal day too.
