The base is Color club's Blue ming and the green is Color Club's Wild cactus with white stripes in the middle.


What other colour combinations would you like to see on this blog? What's your favourite choice of polishes to pair together?

Please accept some simple freehand nail art from me for the time being. I've shut my brain down from all the hard thinking.

The base is China Glaze's Urban night, a vampy eggplant purple and the stripes were done freehand with China Glaze's Aquadelic and Barry M's Matt white. Look closely and you'll see all little mistakes but I tried ^^

Not a very frequent green wearer but this one is very suitable for fall. I just reread my old post to recall how I felt about this one before but this time round I was alright with it. It's more of a teal creme just that the colour came out a little different under my camera lens. 


This was supposed to be some sideways cloud mani with China Glaze's Refresh mint and Icicle but things just seemed a bit..weird? I guess it was partly because I weren't getting the bubble portions similar on each nail so I added some dots with hope that it'll prettify the whole thing up. 



Pink and turquoise is a pretty nice combination in my books so I added some pink. The corner could only fit two strokes which looked close to a heart so after brushing up on it, left it like so. The tips did feel a little thick at first though but after it dries it doesn't feel like that so much.



Even from the pictures above you can totally see that silver foil just reflecting the light back at you so I added a top coat to see if anything will change with that. Nothing much but I think this time I prefer the matte version.




So which one do you like more? The gloss? The matte?

Have you ever tried water marbling and accidentally get another layer of polish stuck onto your perfectly watermarble design totally messing things up and then you're there thinking sh*t, this ain't perfect no more! I've had it happen other times but this time I went straight in and dipped my nail in a second time to see if it covered the mistakes made on the first layer.


The result? I'd say it's sort of impressive. Well you can see, there is no major change but if you look closely you'll see the different shades of pink and green/turquoise from the lighter polish overlapping the darker ones.




The polishes used in this manicure mainly come from Essie. It's been a very long time since I used any of them. I don't have many and yet I don't use them enough but here's a list of polishes used:

• We can do it pink
• Going incognito
• Turquoise and caicos
• Splash of grenadine

I did my thumb also and wanted to see how things looked with some dots but the pattern seems to look weird her. It reminds me of something with legs. An octopus. Spider. Eurgh. My imagination just brought me to these two living things when I gave it a good stare so nope. Happy with the other finger nails but the thumb can stay hidden.

Have you ever given this a try?

I don't really wear a lot of copper bronze shades but this glitter looked amazing. Maybelline's Bronze me up is more like an orange copper which helps it pop a bit more against Maybelline's Nude in your flesh. You may need to do some extra patching here and there to get the glitter portions looking right around the tip area.


Look at it in the bottle! Gorgeous. Hows everyone handling the weather change from Summer to fall? Like it? Hate it? 

I really don't see how easy she made this. Well, it is but I did have to go through a bit of trial and error before things started to look similar to the water marble effect. Either I've dug my toothpick a bit too hard that it has left a little gap, things are too well mixed that they look like a hot mess or I'll peel the polish off before it's fully dried destroying the whole thing.


So the idea is painting a base colour on some plastic wrap, I chose a clear pocket folder and painted one to two layers of Jessica's Velvet & pearls which is a black creme as the base. With Ciate's Ivory queen, an ivory with gold shimmers and Ciate's Members only which is a sheer nude with gold shimmers I added the polishes randomly onto the black polish whilst it was still wet and started swirling like a mad woman with a toothpick.


Okay, I could say the swirling was the easy part. The peeling, placing and clean up was a pain in the backside! I've seen people use a cuticle trimmer to poke things into place and trim the extra bits down before cleaning up. Even after doing so I still had a lot of work to clean off and with the choice of colour it really didn't make things easier. 

Oops! My thumb is not done.

This is the end result and I'm happy with the way it came out. (You should have seen the other attempts!)

The base is Ciate's Amazing Grace which you may have seen in one of the posts a few back. Using China Glaze's Something Sweet and Refresh mint to paint sections of the nail then lining it up with some gold striping tape. 




This was sort of a bad nail shape day and after having some length they do this annoying thing where they curl in. YUCK! Time to give it some TLC :)

I must say, these neons were some hard work when it came to water marbling. All the polishes used were from the Models Own's Polish for tans collection apart from Beach bag which was sold out before I could purchase it online at the time.


They are, in colour order from the index finger to the pinkie:

• Bikini
• Flip flop
• Shades
• Sun hat

In person they looked extremely bright like all the neons out there. Bright to the point that it's totally affected my lighting and my skin tone.
